The inventory

Everything it does. Listed.

Not a roadmap and not a wish list — what ships, grouped the way the application is built. Where something has a limit worth knowing, it is written beside it.

Direct modeling

  • Drawing tools. Line, Polyline, Freehand, Rectangle and rotated Rectangle, Circle, Polygon, three Arc tools and Pie — each with live, lockable dimension fields beside the gesture.
  • Primitives. Box, Cylinder, Cone (and truncated cone), Sphere and Torus, placed by base, size and height on any plane.
  • Push / Pull both ways from where you start: a start offset, a signed distance, a second side, or symmetric. Double-click repeats the last distance.
  • Move, Rotate, Scale, Offset, Follow Me, Flip, with copy modes, axis locks and a rotation axis you choose.
  • Inference engine. Endpoints, midpoints, intersections, edge extensions, face centres, guides, the axes and the selection's own grips.
  • Drawing planes — automatic, or locked to an origin plane, a face or a construction plane.
  • Keymaps. SketchUp's keys exactly, a Fusion-style preset, or your own; Ctrl / Alt / Shift modes in the SketchUp idiom.
  • Face regions. A profile drawn inside a face is imprinted into the body, as an ordinary timeline item.
  • Booleans: union, subtract, intersect, trim, split and outer shell.
  • Paint, Tag, Eraser, and materials dragged straight onto a body.
  • Camera: orbit, pan, zoom, zoom window, zoom extents, previous view, position camera, look around and walk; standard views and both projections; a scale bar.
  • Delete or Backspace removes the selection; a busy cursor and load progress say when the kernel is working.

Sketching & constraints

  • A minimum-change Newton solver that reports degrees of freedom and refuses an over-constraining edit.
  • Constraints: coincident, horizontal, vertical, parallel, perpendicular, tangent, equal, symmetric, concentric, fix; driving dimensions for length, distance, radius, diameter and angle.
  • Profiles found by splitting the plane with every curve, so a profile survives the edits around it.
  • Sketch on a face — the sketch follows the face; its origin can be anchored to a corner or a face centre.
  • Modify tools: fillet, chamfer, trim, offset, project, move, rotate and scale.
  • Named parameters with units, checked dimensionally, usable in any value.
  • Text in any installed font; DXF and SVG imported into sketch entities.
  • 3D sketches with 3D constraints, and work geometry: points, axes and construction planes.

Solid features

  • Extrude and revolve with start, direction, two sides and symmetric spans.
  • Loft and sweep with twist, scale and frame control.
  • Shell, draft and thicken.
  • Fillet and chamfer on edges, chains and tangent chains.
  • Split body and split face on planes, bodies or extended faces.
  • Patterns and mirror: rectangular, circular and path patterns, in 3D with live grips.
  • Direct face editing: move, offset, replace or delete a face.
  • Healing and repair, faces from coplanar curves, section caps and soft edges.
  • Persistent names for every face and edge, with what resolved by geometry reported on the object.

Timeline & history

  • A parametric timeline of features and annotations with a marker; new work goes in where it stands.
  • Reorder, dependency-checked before the drop; suppress; groups.
  • Undo and redo across 101 states, each a stored patch.
  • Configurations: variants of parameters, suppressions and values.
  • Branches with a three-way merge that refuses a document that does not build.
  • Freeze bakes an object into stored geometry.
  • Replay the build, record it as WebM or GIF; replay past revisions from the audit log.
  • Design checks and design CI.
  • Model notes: decisions and an agent's memory on the model, never drawn or exported.

Assemblies & mechanisms

  • Components that own their features, nest and carry their own origin; instances that share a definition.
  • Joints: rigid, revolute, slider, cylindrical, pin-slot, planar and ball, picked on faces, axes, circular edges or corners, with limits.
  • Motion links: gear, belt, rack and screw ratios, and cams that follow the real profile.
  • Motion studies driven by motors, with rate, playback and loop.
  • Charts, traces and clash display; CSV and video export; animated glTF.

Drawings

  • Sheets A0–A4 and ANSI A–E or custom, portrait or landscape, at a scale, with a title block.
  • Views: base, projected (first or third angle), section, detail and isometric.
  • Dimensions that re-measure themselves across model edits.
  • Annotations in the document's units; export to PDF, SVG and DXF.

Simulation

  • Linear static stress and modal analysis of a solid.
  • Meshed from the exact B-rep: quadratic tetrahedra, with sizes, floors and curvature refinement.
  • Fields: displacement, von Mises, principal stresses, strain, safety factor; normalised mode shapes.
  • Results know their age: stale summaries are marked, not shown as current.
  • Honest limit: linear, static, one solid at a time.

CAM

  • Setups and stock, work offsets and posts.
  • A tool library: flat, ball, bull and drill.
  • Strategies: facing, 2D contour, pocket, adaptive clearing, drilling, engraving and 3D parallel.
  • Z-map simulation with removed volume, time, engagement, gouges and collisions.
  • Estimates with their assumptions; posts for GRBL, LinuxCNC and Fanuc, described by data.
  • Honest limit: a top-down Z-map — no undercuts, no five-axis.

Analysis & measurement

  • Mass properties with density per material and inertia.
  • Interference and clearance analyses, live on the scene.
  • Zebra, curvature, draft and parting line.
  • Requirements in plain language: wall thickness, clearance, overhang, bounding box or mass.
  • Section planes on XY, XZ and YZ, renamable; per-object opacity and an adjustable x-ray.
  • Measuring tools: tape measure, dimensions, protractor and guides.

Materials & scenes

  • Materials with colour, opacity, roughness, metalness and density.
  • Textures at real-world scale, with normal maps; ten photographed presets.
  • A material library per person and per organisation.
  • Layers with colours, visibility and locking.
  • Scenes with transitions; stored scenes make heavy models open in seconds.
  • Styles: shaded, hidden line, monochrome, wireframe and x-ray; the background follows the theme.
  • Rendering: environments, tone mapping, ambient occlusion and AI concept renders.

Import & export

  • Import 3D: STEP, IGES, BREP, STL, OBJ, 3MF, glTF, GLB, Collada and IFC — names, colours and components kept, meshes sewn and healed.
  • Import 2D: DXF and SVG into sketches.
  • Export 3D: STEP, IGES, BREP, STL, OBJ, 3MF, glTF, GLB, Collada and IFC.
  • Kozorosa documents: .k3d, the editable document with its history; .k4d, with its computed scene, signed — previewed on import.
  • Export 2D: DXF and SVG of a sketch or section; PDF, SVG and DXF of a drawing.
  • Export jobs you can watch while they run.
  • Module formats: BTLx, DSTV NC1, Howick CSV, IFC4 and lists.
  • Honest note: SketchUp's .skp has no open format; Collada is the way in and out.

AI agents & automation

  • AI mode: the modelling tools put away and the model designed by talking — the assistant plans, asks about the design, builds stage by stage and checks the result, while you point, orbit and measure.
  • One action catalogue — 240+ core actions, 350+ with every module — with JSON schemas, for the interface, REST, MCP, Python and the assistant.
  • The assistant: skills (shipped, organisation and personal), file attachments, export cards, conversation compaction, an admin-set run budget.
  • Proposals shown as ghosts and applied on approval as one edit.
  • Connect an AI agent: configurations for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini and Windsurf.
  • Python console for every user, each script in an isolated process: one edit, one undo step.
  • Batch edits of up to 100 commands; deltas; cancellation that reaches the worker.

Construction modules

  • Timber: elements and panels from 20 markets, 25 joint types, fasteners, walls, roofs over any plan, trusses, lists, pre-sizing, drawings, BTLx, IFC4.
  • Timber frame: prefabricated walls and floors from 27 build-ups.
  • CLT: pressable panels from nine producers, lifting, nesting, truck loads.
  • Structural steel: 2,683 sections, processing, bolts, welds, connections, marks, EN 1993-1-8 check, DSTV NC1.

  • Roofing: 26 coverings, battens, courses and quantities.

Plugins

  • A verified parts library: spur and bevel gears, ISO threads, hex bolts and nuts, washers, coil springs, pipe flanges and knurls.
  • Placement on a plane, a planar face or a cylindrical face, adding or cutting.
  • Parts regenerate without the plugin.
  • Develop your own from a template and upload it for yourself; signatures and a registry.

Platform

  • A proprietary geometry kernel on Open CASCADE Technology, in its own worker processes with deadlines, memory and CPU ceilings.
  • Caching in memory and on disk that survives a restart.
  • Kozorosa for Mac runs the kernel, database and server inside the app; Foundry runs the web version on your servers.
  • Collaboration (Foundry): visibility, roles, live editing, presence, comments, share links, audit log, organisations.
  • Seven languages and fourteen themes in light and dark.

A list is not a demo.
